Document Verification Process

A secure two-step process involving our team and your licensed veterinarian

Your pet’s vaccines and treatments can be verified through a secure two-step process designed to help keep your pet profile accurate and travel-ready.

Step 1: PadsPass Team

Our team reviews your uploaded documents for completeness and readability, and confirms they’re attached to the correct pet profile. This helps reduce delays and makes it easier for a licensed veterinary professional to verify the records.

Step 2: Your Pet's Licensed Veterinarian

Your pet’s primary veterinarian (or another licensed veterinary professional) provides the medical verification of vaccines and treatments. They confirm the authenticity of the medical records and verify that details like dates and product information are accurate and complete.

What Gets Verified

  • Vaccination records - dates, types, and validity periods
  • Treatment documentation - parasite treatments, medications, and procedures
  • Health certificates - official veterinary health assessments
  • Microchip verification - confirming chip numbers and registration

Your Role as a Pet Parent

While you can upload health records and information to your pet’s profile, only a licensed veterinary professional can provide the official verification status for your pet’s Digital Pet Passport.

This collaborative approach between your veterinarian and our team helps keep your records organized for travel planning. Airline, destination, and regulatory requirements may vary and may change—always confirm current requirements with your airline, destination authority, and licensed veterinarian before travel.
