Acaricidal Treatment
What acaricidal treatment means and how to log flea & tick prevention in PadsPass
An acaricidal treatment is another term for a flea and tick preventative (often labeled as flea/tick, ectoparasite prevention, or parasite control).
Using the PadsPass app: adding acaricidal (flea and tick) treatments
In PadsPass, flea and tick preventatives are tracked as a Parasite Treatment so you can keep a clear record in your pet’s profile.
To add it manually (all users):
- Open your pet’s profile.
- Add a new Parasite Treatment entry.
- Under Treatment name, select the flea/tick preventative from the list (or enter it, if available).
- Save to view it on your pet’s profile.
To add it from a document (if you have a record to upload):
- Upload the document as a Treatment Record and choose the appropriate Document type.
- PadsPass can use the document to help categorize and organize the record in your pet’s profile. (Any review or verification steps may depend on your plan and the document provided.)
