Export Permit
A government-issued document authorizing your pet to leave the country
An export permit is an official document issued by a government authority in the exporting country. It authorizes your pet to leave and helps confirm your pet meets that country’s requirements for travel (and, in some cases, may support entry requirements for your destination).
Depending on your route and destination, you may need an export permit in addition to other documents (such as a health certificate).
To see whether an export permit applies to your trip, use the Trip Planner in the PadsPass Digital Pet Passport and review the requirements it generates.
Because rules can vary and change, always confirm current requirements with your airline and the destination’s official animal import authority. For questions about health documentation, consult your licensed veterinarian.
