Import Permit

What an import permit is and how to check if your trip requires one

An import permit is an official document issued by a destination country’s authorities that grants permission for a pet to enter that country.

In practice, it’s the government’s confirmation that your pet meets that country’s specific entry requirements (which may include health and documentation requirements).

To see whether an import permit may apply to your trip, open the Trip Planner in the PadsPass Digital Pet Passport and review the requirements it generates.
